For property managers and project developers, it is important that the mailbox installation is in order: every resident their own box, a standardised mail slot, clear numbering and an accessible layout. ONZO takes this into account in the design.
In an apartment building, each residential unit should have its own lockable mailbox. This allows the postal worker to serve each resident separately and keeps mail private. For a new or replacement system, the number of boxes is therefore matched to the number of apartments.
bpost requires a mailbox with a standardised slot and sufficient depth, so that daily mail and magazines fit in easily. The ONZO systems are designed for this. For the exact, current dimensions, we refer to the guidelines of bpost.
Each box receives clear numbering and, where desired, the resident's name. This prevents incorrectly delivered mail and keeps the whole tidy. Read more about numbered mailboxes and nameplates.
The installation is placed at an accessible height and location, so that both residents and the postal worker can reach it easily. ONZO advises on the arrangement in the entrance hall or on the facade, for new builds and for replacements.
